The Department of Food Science and Biotechnology has two Undergraduate Study Programs, namely the Bachelor of Food Science and Technology (FST) and the Bachelor of Biotechnology. The Bachelor of Food Science and Technology (FST) has received BAN PT (national accreditation) with superior predicate. FST has been internationally certified by the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) in 2012-2017 and 2017-2022. In 2018 IFT issued new guidance, reassessment of PS ITP by IFT was implemented at the end of 2019 and reapproval was given to FST from 2020-2025. In 2022 FST is conducting an international accreditation process Agentur Fur Qualitatssicherung Durch Akkreditierung von Studiengangen E.V. (AQAS). The Bachelor of Biotechnology Study Program received BAN PT accreditation with an A predicate. In 2022, the Biotechnology Undergraduate Study Program received temporary accreditation from The Accreditation Agency for Study Programmes of Engineering, Information Science, Natural Science and Mathematics (ASIIN).
