Food Science and Technology Department

The undergraduate program in Food Science and Technology is designed for preparing students leading to careers in food industry, research and entrepreneurship. In order to perform well and advance in student’s career, they need to have high levels of soft skills in dealing with people. We do believe that students with excellent soft skills can fit into most environments because they are adaptable, flexible, committed and display the right attitude. Students are therefore encouraged to start developing their soft skills while pursuing their academic study. For this purpose, our program equips students with the necessary soft skills by developing business-based learning methods in certain courses. By using this method, they will improve in areas of communication, leadership, teamwork, critical thinking, creativity, innovation, entrepreneurial and commitment to integrity, thus it will enhance their competitive edge in the job market.
